Originally trained as a graphic designer, Julie Jonquet-Caunes started her career at a french auction house before expanding into illustration and launching her independent practice in 2015.
Based in Paris, she works primarily in fashion, luxury and culture.
Experiments in composition and color combinations are at the heart of her imagery, which is entirely executed in colored pencil. Her work is influenced by her fascination with hyperrealism and trompe-l’œil. Her love for objects, especially designer furniture, inspires her contemporary still lifes.
She has recently collaborated with Chanel, Études Studio, Figaret and the Villa Noailles.
